NORTH COAST MRI SERVICES

NorthCoast Imaging Limited is western Jamaica's Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Centre. We were the first MRI facility outside of Kingston and scanned our first patient in February 2005. NorthCoast Imaging provides affordable, high-quality MRI services to patients from both private and public health facilities. We operate using a state-of-the-art 1.5 Tesla magnet.

This modern, more powerful magnet has enabled NorthCoast Imaging to offer more scanning possibilities. We conduct MRI scans of the brain, spine, shoulder, wrist, abdomen, pelvis, leg, ankle and other musculoskeletal areas. Our imaging centre also offers MRI scans of the whole body, breast, total spine, and multiparametric prostate. MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) of carotid, brain and extremities with and without IV gadolinium injection are offered.
We perform less common scans such as knee cartigram to evaluate arthritis, non-contrast pulmonary MRI to detect pulmonary emboli, magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and diffusion tensor imaging of the brain. Our imaging centre caters to the needs of claustrophobic patients of all ages.
Carefully monitored sedation is available. NorthCoast Imaging is located in a comfortable and spacious office in the easily accessible Fairview area of Montego Bay.

RADIOLOGY WEST

Radiology West began serving Jamaica in October 1999. Founded by Drs. Konrad Kirlew and Welsford Sinclair, it was established as a well needed private diagnostic centre for the western region, in and around Montego Bay.

The full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery is practiced here, with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery, cancer surgery, reconstructive surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. This also includes special techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort and can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures. The staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center.
